Portatenea - Atenea Collection - Agrigento

I almost wanted to give a good review, but the breakfast? Absolutely minimal, almost nonexistent-that's just unacceptable. Isn't it woudl ve been customary for someone to explain the options available? No real guidance like you'd expect. Oh, and my 'upgrade'? Not even a hint at anything special. Truly disappointing for a place with such potential.

The view of street from my tastefully decorated room was beautiful. It was in a very central setting close to the old town. Besides, it was close to the historic downtown as well as shops.

Location - it was fantastic and lovely, a railway station was walk from the hotel. I had some drinks at Bar Gambrinus, positioned 400 metres away. I enjoyed convenient placing of central heating, a flat-screen television, and a study table in the double room. The bathroom there was huge.

Consider arriving with a plan for parking. The narrow and steep access may be tricky, especially in central Agrigento's hilly area.

the breakfast was savoury and delicious, the check in was flexible. the room was spacious, and we had a beautiful view of street. the staff was outstandingly accommodating and pretty friendly, helped to choose restaurants and bars.

I stayed for 1 night in a Beautiful Double or Twin Room Balcony and was blown away by the fine views. The two gorgeous balconies allowed us to soak in the sights of the Valley of the Temples and the sea. The rooftop terrace was a fabulous spot to unwind with drinks as the sun set, a magical experience.

The location was fantastic, perched right at the start of Via Atenea, close to the old town and many dining options. The rooftop terrace served a decent breakfast with lovely views. Our spacious room had a good balcony.

Parking situation can be tricky!!! Narrow, steep stairs are a hassle, especially with luggage. Confusing breakfast arrangement with limited options, and maintenance needed for peeling paint and cracked tiles!!!

My kids wished the breakfast options were more varied.

The location is superb, right in the historic downtown with easy access to restaurants and shops. Enjoyed breakfast on the rooftop with fine views. Such a great spot!

It was just an optimal selection for a brief pause in Agrigento with good value considering the price it charged. The roof terrace was perfect for enjoying a coffee while soaking in the beautiful views of the city. Be prepared for lots of stairs when you arrive, it's not for the faint-hearted.

The spacious room had a charming terrace balcony, perfect for enjoying breakfast with beautiful city views. Location-wise, it was convenient for both the train and bus stations, and the rooftop terrace provided an really good spot for relaxation. Driving in this hilly area can be tricky, and the narrow stairs to the entrance could pose a challenge, especially with luggage. The breakfast options were somewhat limited, missing a wider variety that could enhance the experience.

The rooftop terrace was phenomenal for sunset drinks, and the room was spacious with lovely balconies, although the street noise could be bothersome at times. Would definitely stay again!

The location was perfect, close to awesome restaurants. We loved the rooftop terrace for breakfast with fantastic views. The staff helped us with reservations at Il Re di Girgenti, just a short drive from the fine Valley of the Temples. A nice experience!

One downside was the check-in process. We weren't met in person but communicated via WhatsApp.

Amazing place with great amenities like free wi-fi, air conditioning, and friendly staff. They helped me with my suitcases during my first stay. I highly recommend trying the rooftop breakfast.
